The IAS newsletter is an electronic quarterly, usually published in late March, June, August and December, and back issues are available online to IAS members. NEWSLETTER NOTICE: The March 2021 edition will be the final printed and mailed version of our newsletter. Beginning in June 2021, the IAS Newsletter will be published online only. Newsletter deadlines are as follows:
Newsletter submissions may be sent to Lester Kallus. All new ideas and articles are always welcome! Please send us notes on research projects, methods for growing Aroids, collecting trips, recipes using Aroids, stories, news, book reviews, awards fellow Aroiders have won, recent Aroid literature of interest to you, useful websites, upcoming events and conference announcements, and artwork (line drawings) and photos2. Consider helping with an article for the newsletter or even just providing a suggestion for a topic you'd like to learn more about. We’re always interested to hear about your ideas so please don't hesitate to contact us with contributions. Send any contributions via email as Microsoft Word documents. Even if the photos have been included in the Microsoft Word document, please also send those photos separately and, if not already done, consider recommending insertion points for those photos except for any photos that are to be grouped after text.
IMPORTANT NOTE on IMAGES: Beginning in March 2021, online newsletter articles will (with the author's permission) link embedded photos to larger size online photos. The larger-sized photos may include watermarks or copyrite notices at the author's direction. Photos may be submitted in a wide assortment of formats including JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP & RAW (including NEF & DNG).
There are 2 sample IAS newsletters online. Current newsletters are sent to all members.
