Origin of the plant in the photos: Sunnyvale Nursery

This plant, purchased nameless, has been identified by Dr. Alistair Hay.

It originates in Sarawak.

The variegation of the leaves is absolutely stunning. The leaves are dry to touch, resembling A.cuprea or A.guttata imperialis.
The two leaves on the left belong to the same plant and show the interesting effect of turning green when backlighted...
The plant has bloomed in the second week of August, 1998.
Here's the interior of the inflorescence.
Another interesting feature: the same plant has both peltate and non-peltate leaves!
